Hiring Event Career Fair

We are looking to hire numerous new teammates and invite you visit our hiring event at the Nucor Detailing Center on August 23rd between 11am and 7pm.  To apply for our Drafter/Modeler Trainee positions by August 27th go to the careers tab and click on the Drafter/Modeler Trainee posting.

Our growing need for Drafter/Modelers has created this unique opportunity for anyone interested in a new career with Nucor.  Our previous Career events have provided well over 50 new teammates the training and skills to successfully be hired as a Nucor Drafter/Modeler.  Each of them started by applying for our Drafter/Modeler Trainee position, and then progressed through the On-Site Training program.  This program is designed specifically to train individuals with little or no drafting experience.  While the prior work experience of these new teammates varied greatly, what they had in common was a desire to enter into a rewarding career with a stable company in order to improve the quality of their family's lifestyle.

On-Site Training Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Must be willing to relocate to NDC's Norfolk facility
• Must be proficient Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office programs
• Solid Minimum of two years verifiable full-time work history or two year college degree
