The Nucor Detailing Center provides Drafting/Modeling support and services to all of the Nucor divisions across North America. The Detailing Center supports Vulcraft & Verco joist and deck plants, Harris Rebar facilities, Nucor Buildings Group, Nucor Grating along with Nucor structural steel projects.
Customized versions of TEKLA®, and AutoCAD®, along with Inventor, are used at the Nucor Detailing Center, with the primary drafting tool utilizing state-of-the-art 3D modeling software. This 3D software tool is used to detail Vulcraft and Verco joists and decks as it seamlessly blends the "Out-of-Box" TEKLA® commands with new drafting tools. In this new 3D environment drafters can visually develop joist layouts, connections as well as spatial relationships between our products and other trades present in the project. This detailing package allows us to better meet our customers' BIM and coordination needs.
